Needlepoint Artists

Alex-Paras NeedleArts is proud to offer needlepoint artists such as Melissa Shirley, Rosalyn Cherry-Soleil, Beth Russell, Maggie Company, Pauline Salzman, Debbie Forney, and Daphne Goodyear. Needlepoint kits and canvases are often created from an artist's design. For example, a traditional paint artist may do a painting on canvas that can then be used for needlepoint.

Enjoy Pauline Salzman, a multi-talented fiber artist with amazing and humorous quilts. Some of her works are: "All stressed out, no one to choke, so I might as well eat!", "Veni, Vidi, Vici", and "Nude Descending Staircase". Her quilts "travel the country" and win many awards.

Another Alex-Paras NeedleArts favorite, Melissa Shirley has handpainted needlepoint designs that started with her own artwork. She began as a self-taught painter and transferred her skills to handpainting canvas. Now her shop also licenses other artists such as John Johannsen, Linda Carter Holman, and Mary Lake-Thomson.

Featured artist, Debbie Forney, a nationally known needlepoint designer & teacher, offers a class on her "Sandman" designs. Debbie also does the "Blue-eyed Santa" and teaches classes all over the country. Also featured, Daphne Goodyear's "Sweet Tooth Fairy Pillow" is presented here which she originally created for her granddaughter. This special heirloom will be enjoyed for generations now, and the canvas can be purchased at Alex-Paras NeedleArts.

Enjoy the exhibit of Canadian needlepoint artist Rosalyn Cherry-Soleil. Her amazing "Stitchamaze" displays incredible needlework that demonstrates how she pushes the boundaries of needlework. Her embroidery artwork is some of the most glorious and beautiful needlework around.
